The skeleton Band

One of the first things that cought my eye was this really wild looking band of skeletons. It must have taken someone quite alot of time and a lot of talent to make these guys. They have an errey look about them, don't you think.

Denis the Menace

I also stumbled accross a drawing of Dennis the Menace. Which the natives called Daniel. The drawing was in a fairly nice bar Called what else "Daniel's", it was loaded with drawings of "Looney Tunes" charcters. With a 2-for-1 happy hour "all nite long" it was not hard to get a little "looney" while you were there.

Inside Daniels Bar

Daniels was a very colorfull bar. All the tabels had the same multi-color tops like the one seen here. The bench (instead of stools)at the bar is a little awkward at first but you get used to it.

Cartoonceiling#1

The walls and ceilings were full of cartoon characters. Several Loonytoons characters were painted on the walls above the large doorways.

Cartoonceiling#2

If you sat in the right spot they were all around you.

Band-at-Daneils

The band played mostly top 40's Americam Music. I seem to remember quite a lot of Lead Zeplen and Pink Floyd and Beatles too.

Partying-at-Daniela

I met quite a lot of people from a lot of different places. These two people to my right were from West Germany.
The mural on the wall to our right is a large painting of the archie cartoon characters.

Rental_Scooter

For 180 Pacos you can rent a scooter like this for 4 hours. You can ride around the entire island in aprox. 30 minuites, so 4 hours is enough time to explore the entire island.

SouthWest_Side-of Island

The South end of the island is less populated. This is the ocean side of the island. It's shore is rocky and the waves are big.

Partying-at-Daniela

It seems you find the strangest things in the strangest places. There was only a few places that you could buy Corona beer on the island and this, of course, was one of them. The big bottle is less than 100 yards from the north shore. It is a calm beach with a lot of white sand. Full of people in the afternoon and evening.
